Q1. What are Lava Zones?
Lava is a fact of life on the Big Island. Its great to see but you don’t want it in back yard. A lava zone denotes the risk factor of that happening. Zone 9 is the least risk…no lava evident in history…Zone 1…keep a bag packed. This will impact your homeowners insurance rate and resale value. We can help you make an informed decision.

Q2. What is water catchment?
Not all, but much of the Big Island relies on rain water for household water needs. Water is collected from rooftops and stored in a catchment container on site. A filter system and possibly a UV unit is used to sterilize the water before use. Many people value the high quality of water available here on the Big Island.

Q3. Internet Availability?
DLS and Cable Broadband services are available, but not in all areas. This can vary even within a neighborhood. If this is important to you, it would be good to verify before purchase.
